This presentation features a case study of First Chicago NBD’s sourcing program.   It emphasizes the internal and external challenges to the strategic sourcing initiative, and the most demanding of those challenges came internally.  Therefore, it was necessary to execute a change management process, with its accompanying tools and techniques in order to achieve the successes of the effort.  The lesson learned was definitely that strategic sourcing is mostly change management.
